Frequently Asked Questions

Q: Who do you work with?
A: Services are offered for individual adults in the State of Texas.
My office is located in San Angelo, Texas, for clients who prefer in-person sessions. I use a secure video platform to provide virtual sessions to clients who are not local to the office.
I am LGBTQ+ allied.

Q: Where do you meet with clients?
A: I offer in-person sessions in my office located at 125 S Washington in San Angelo, TX.
For virtual/online sessions, prior to your scheduled appointment, you’ll receive a link to a secure video platform where we’ll meet.

Q: What is your cancellation policy?
A: In consideration of my time and the needs of other clients, I require a 24-hour notice of cancellation. Cancel an existing appointment by email.
Any late cancellation will result in a fee of half the session rate being charged. A missed appointment with no notice will be charged the full session rate.

Q: How much do you charge?
A:
Initial consultations: free!
Standard individual session: $80 per therapy hour (53-55 minutes).
Services to address problematic sexual behaviors: $100 per therapy hour (53-55 minutes).
Reiki therapy session: $70 per 50-minute session

Payment is required at the end of each session. To prevent unpaid balances from becoming burdensome, I do not allow clients to carry an unpaid balance.
I do not accept insurance. This information applies to counseling service fees only. Fees for forensic services are available upon request.

Q: How often will we meet?
A: A typical schedule is one session per week. This is especially important for new clients because we are building rapport and momentum, learning about your needs and developing goals.

Q: What do I need for virtual/online sessions?
A: Reliable Internet connection; a phone, tablet, laptop OR computer with a camera & microphone; and a private space - free from distractions and noise - where you will feel comfortable and safe participating in your session. I strongly recommend the use of earbuds/headphones during virtual sessions for increased privacy and reduced distraction.

Q: Is this confidential?
A: Yes. One component of the safe space I provide is that what you say during your sessions will stay between us. Your status as a client is also kept confidential.
As a Licensed Professional Counselor Associate in the State of Texas, there are circumstances that I may be required to break confidentiality: I am ordered to disclose information by a Court of Law; I have reason to believe you are in imminent danger of harming yourself or someone else; there is an indication that a minor, a person with disabilities, or an elderly person is being harmed; or I learn that another mental healthcare provider has engaged in sexual exploitation of a client.

Confidentiality is vital to the success of therapy. It’s important to clients, and to me. I’m happy to answer any questions you may have about confidentiality and the exceptions to it.
